Energy Efficiency and Corporate Decarbonization Funding up to 85% for strategic investments

A new call for applications is open to support corporate energy efficiency and decarbonization, with a total budget of 165 million euros (FEDER) and a co-financing rate of up to 85%, aimed at projects with a real impact on reducing energy consumption and CO₂ emissions.

This funding falls under two categories, depending on the size and strategic nature of the investment:

General Regime

For corporate energy efficiency and decarbonization projects under the Energy Efficiency and Decarbonization category, applicable to companies of any size.

Contractual Investment Regime

For investments of strategic or structural relevance, with a significant impact on the climate transition, sectoral competitiveness, or regional development.

What types of investments are eligible?

Support is provided for individual projects that lead to a reduction in energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, including:

Production processes and industrial systems
Optimization of motors, pumps, ventilation, and compressed air

Replacement or adaptation of furnaces, boilers, and injectors

Heat and/or cold recovery

Energy management, monitoring, and control systems

Buildings and infrastructure
Photovoltaic panels, heat pumps, and other renewable energies

Energy storage

Charging infrastructure for electric vehicles

Building digitalization and automation

Bioclimatic architecture solutions

Decarbonization and environmental protection
Process electrification and fossil fuel replacement

Use of alternative fuels and low-carbon impact raw materials

Development of products with a lower carbon footprint

Industrial symbiosis and circular economy

Process digitalization for resource efficiency

Studies and technical services

Energy audits and diagnostics

Technical studies and certifications

Assessment of the DNSH principle – Do No Significant Harm

Who can apply?

SMEs and Large Companies

Projects located in the North, Center, Alentejo, and Algarve regions

Minimum investment: €400,000

⚠️ Note: The Lisbon region is not eligible under the General Regime.
